- On-site position located in the East Berlin, CT area
- 1st shift, 7:00am-3:30pm Monday-Friday

Your new role as a mechanical assembler:
- Study and understand blueprints, including geometric dimensioning and tolerances, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, and sequence of operations.
- Utilize equipment including, but not limited to, drill press/hand drill, hand grinder, hand router, rivet equipment, miscellaneous hand tools and torque wrenches to assemble parts.
- Visually and dimensionally check own work prior to submitting to inspection.
- Confers with engineers, production personnel, programmers, or others to resolve machining or assembly problems
- Responsible for the accurate recording of all paperwork and labor entries associated with the position.
What you need as a mechanical assembler:
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Meets commitments, works independently, accepts accountability, handles changes, sets personal standards, stays focused under pressure, meets attendance/punctuality requirements.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds frequently.
