Job Description:
As a Medical Scheduler you will play a critical role in coordinating patient care and ensuring efficient scheduling for medical procedures, tests, and appointments. Your expertise in administrative support and patient coordination will contribute to a seamless healthcare experience for both patients and providers.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and direct phone calls from patients and physician offices.
- Schedule patient appointments, procedures, and tests according to established criteria.
- Prioritize appointments to ensure optimal patient care and efficient provider utilization.
- Handle urgent patient calls and notify providers of emergent care needs.
- Greet and check in patients, verifying demographic and insurance information.
- Collect co-payments and obtain necessary patient signatures for treatment authorization.
- Coordinate with insurance providers to secure prior authorizations for procedures and tests.
- Verify eligibility for procedures based on healthcare institution requirements.
- Audit billing discrepancies and research errors for resolution.
- Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, faxing, retrieving files, and maintaining accurate records.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience required.
- Experience in a medical office setting preferred.
- Knowledge of business office procedures and medical terminology preferred.

If you are hired, your base salary will be determined based on factors such as individual skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role.
