Job Description:
Your new role will involve the construction of industrial-sized AC units designed for schools, hospitals, and commercial buildings. You will ensure the units are built efficiently and function properly by performing welding, assembly, and testing of HVAC systems. You’ll collaborate with your team to meet production goals and ensure high-quality results. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to essential equipment for critical facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Perform MIG welding to assemble industrial-sized AC units
- Use hand tools, power tools, and a tape measure to ensure accurate assembly
- Inspect parts and welds to meet quality control standards and specifications
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and quality standards
- Ensure proper placement and assembly of components according to blueprints and technical instructions
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to safety protocols and standards
- Troubleshoot and make minor repairs to units when necessary
- Assist in packaging and preparing units for shipment
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Previous MIG welding experience required
- Mechanically inclined and proficient with tool handling
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety standards
- Strong communication skills to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy equipment as needed
