Job Description:
The Mitigation Specialist/Technician is responsible for responding to and managing water, fire, mold, and storm damage restoration projects. This role is critical in minimizing property damage through timely and effective mitigation efforts. The Specialist will assess damage, execute restoration activities, and uphold high standards of service and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Damage Assessment: Assess the extent of water, fire, mold, or storm damage and develop an effective plan of action.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to service calls for residential and commercial properties.
- Mitigation Services: Perform water extraction, structural drying, mold remediation, smoke/soot cleanup, debris removal, and related restoration tasks.
- Equipment Operation: Set up and maintain restoration equipment, such as air movers, dehumidifiers, air scrubbers, and moisture meters.
- Client Communication: Provide updates on job progress, timelines, and expectations while delivering excellent customer service.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Experience: Previous experience in water/fire damage restoration, construction, or a related field is preferred.
- Certifications: IICRC certification in Water Damage Restoration (WRT) or equivalent is a plus.
- Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, effective communication skills, and proficiency with mitigation equipment.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and perform physically demanding tasks.

In the spirit of pay transparency, we want to share the base salary range for this position is $28,800 not including benefits, potential bonuses or additional compensation. If you are hired, your base salary will be determined based on factors such as individual skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. In addition, we also believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth.
