Payroll Clerk
Pay Rate: $21-22/ hour
Work Type: Long-term-temporary position
Location: Northwest Houston, TX
Hours: M-F, 8-5
Enter the role of a Payroll Clerk, you unlock endless possibilities for yourself, our client company, and the community they serve. Your human resources expertise will strengthen a dynamic environment, spearheading the organization’s employee records, confirming timecards for all employees, processing payroll every two weeks, and running reports to check for accuracy.
Responsibilities:
- Collect, enter, and maintains payroll information into the electronic database systems.
- Assists employees, communicates, and answers questions about benefits, retirement, and more.
- Updates and maintain records and files in accordance with policies and procedures.
Qualification or Requirements:
- A High School Diploma or equivalent is required; an associate degree in finance, business, or accounting is preferred.
- One (1) – Two (2) year of payroll experience is required.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency with computers and other office equipment, such as fax machines and printers/scanners is required.
- Intermediate proficiency utilizing the 10-key software is highly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication, and organizational skills are required.
