Job Description
Our client is seeking a skilled and dedicated PET/CT Technologist to join our team in North Houston. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing PET/CT, CT Simulation, and diagnostic CT procedures. The technologist will also administer prepared radiopharmaceuticals and contrast media while ensuring all examinations are performed in accordance with the policies and procedures established by the Nuclear Medicine Department and Radiology Department.
Responsibilities:
- Perform PET/CT and CT Simulation procedures in a professional and efficient manner.
- Conduct diagnostic CT procedures and other imaging services as required.
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals and contrast media as per safety and procedural guidelines.
- Perform general nuclear medicine imaging, including but not limited to Nuclear Cardiology, dynamic flow studies, and SPECT studies, as needed.
- Follow all safety policies and radiation safety protocols, ensuring compliance with quality control procedures.
- Complete patient exam documentation using the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system and Radiology Information System (RIS).
- Manage image storage using the designated Patient Archiving and Communication System (PACS)
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Must be a certified PET/CT Technologist with relevant certifications in nuclear medicine and CT imaging.
- Strong knowledge of PET/CT procedures, nuclear medicine, and diagnostic imaging.
- Familiarity with radiation safety and quality control procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently with EMR, RIS, and PACS systems.
- Excellent communication skills and a patient-focused attitude.
