Job Description
Set up, operate, and maintain machines that cut, shape, or modify metal and plastic materials according to precise specifications. Responsibilities include inspecting finished pieces for defects, measuring workpieces for accuracy, and making necessary machine adjustments using tools and gauges.
Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, or tend machines to saw, cut, shear, slit, punch, crimp, notch, bend, or straighten metal or plastic material. Set up, operate, or tend machines to saw, cut, shear, slit, punch, crimp, notch, bend, or straighten metal or plastic material.
- Examine completed work pieces for defects, such as chipped edges or marred surfaces and sort defective pieces according to types of flaws.
- Measure completed work pieces to verify conformance to specifications, using micrometers, gauges, calipers, templates, or rulers.
- Set stops on machine beds, change dies, and adjust components, such as rams or power presses, when making multiple or successive passes
- Test and adjust machine speeds or actions, according to product specifications, using gauges and hand tools.
- Install, align, lock specified punches, dies, cutting blades, or other fixtures in rams or beds of machines, using gauges, templates, feelers, shims, and hand tools.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Must have two years or more experience with Press Brake machines: Amada, Cincinnati, Trumpf, Accupress etc.
- Possess a minimum of 2 years’ experience in set up, operating, or tending machines to saw, cut, shear, slit, punch, crimp, notch, bend, or straighten metal or plastic materials.
- Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of product conversion, effective oral and written communication skills.

The base pay range for this position is $22-25/hour, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
