Job Description
Our partner is seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join their manufacturing team. In this role, you will set up and operate press brake machines to bend, shape, and manipulate sheet metal according to blueprint specifications. This position is ideal for individuals with CNC experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and an eye for detail.
Responsibilities:
- Operate press brake machinery and ensure proper machine settings
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specification sheets
- Utilize CNC software to program and adjust machine settings for precise metal fabrication
- Measure and inspect finished parts to ensure accuracy and adherence to specifications
- Move heavy or large sheets of metal safely from one plate to another
- Monitor the pressing process, identify defects, and make necessary adjustments
- Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe work environment
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and report any malfunctions
Qualifications and Requirements:
- In-depth understanding of press brake operations and machine components
- Experience with CNC software and the ability to adjust settings as needed
- Strong arithmetic skills for measuring and calculating adjustments
- Ability to remain upright and perform repetitive movements for extended periods
- Physical capability to lift and maneuver large metal sheets
- Keen observation skills to ensure quality control and detect inconsistencies
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing environment
