Job Description
A Production Associate at Polymerics, a rubber compounding company in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, is responsible for assisting in the manufacturing and compounding of rubber products. The role involves operating machinery, ensuring materials are mixed to specifications, and performing quality checks throughout the production process. Associates are expected to maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhere to safety protocols, and troubleshoot equipment as needed. Strong attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and collaboration with team members are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor machinery used in the rubber compounding process to ensure proper mixing and production of rubber materials
- Perform quality control checks to verify product consistency and adherence to specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and company policies
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor equipment issues to minimize production downtime and maintain workflow efficiency
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in manufacturing or a related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in rubber compounding or a similar industry
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow precise instructions and ensure quality control standards
- Ability to lift heavy materials, stand for long periods, and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while adhering to safety guidelines.
