Job Description
As a General Laborer, you will provide hands on sorting and preparation support for producing accurate quality and quantity of recycled stock for mill customers. You will be standing, lifting/carrying, stooping, bending, pulling and pushing. You also must have the ability to lift 50 lbs. Attention to quality and following work instructions is very important. Candidates must be willing to learn, follow directions and have a positive attitude.
Responsibilities:
- Sort materials, such as paper or plastics, into appropriate piles for further processing.
- Remove all foreign materials, such as metals, wood, and plastics, depositing materials into collection bins.
- Stack and band pallets and Gaylords per requirements of facility.
- Consistently demonstrates and incorporates principals of safety for self and others into daily activities. Will attend required safety training and participates in emergency drills and exercises.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Ability to show up for all scheduled shifts
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand/walk/bend/lift consistently and perform physical tasks.
- Ability to follow verbal and written work instructions.

The base salary range for this position is $15.00–$16.00, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
