Production Lead
Long-Term Contract
Pay Rate: $27 / hour
Shift: Monday-Friday 3:30pm-12am (will train on first shift)
Location: Plano, TX
World-wide electronics manufacturing company is looking for an experienced Production Lead to join their team. Responsible for safely assembling quality products through the efficient use of manpower, materials, and equipment. The Production Assembly Lead III directs the activities to Production Assembly departments, promotes safe work practices, maintains production schedules and record keeping, and ensures quality standards are met. This position plans work, makes assignments, assists in the hiring process, trains new employees, and administers company policies consistently.
As A Member of This Team:
- Close work orders within 24hrs after return FG to Stock
- Accurately complete production reports; complete details of run time report
- Assess project and resource requirements
- Read, review, plan and organize production schedules to meet on-time delivery
- Lead safety discussions with associates, audit associate safety practices during walk around
- Maintain housekeeping standards 5S by inspecting each line; update line charts with data and comments
- Teach employees to run 5S audits and follow company’s 5S Score Card
- Provide on-the-job training for associates in all areas of their job duties
- Set goals for employees and hold employees accountable
- Maintain Scrap report
- Manage and report material with over usage/ over issue
- Responsible for area inventory control
- Assess staffing levels, adhere to budgeted headcount numbers for work needs, and work with Production Manager and HR to fill
- Identify limiting factors of production and make recommendations for continual improvement
- Maintain compliance with QMS system; QA Scrap & First Piece Approvals
You Will Need:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- 5 years of supervisory experience in high-speed production line
- Strong organizational, leadership and administrative skills
- Operate a forklift
- Stand for long periods of time
- Lift 35 pounds
- Industrial maintenance: 5 years (preferred)
- Computer literate – (MS Office) (ERP Systems – SAP)
