Job Description
The Property Accountant is responsible for managing financial records and transactions related to real estate properties. This role includes preparing accurate financial statements, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and maintaining budgets for property operations. The accountant will also track rental income, handle accounts payable/receivable, and reconcile financial discrepancies. Strong attention to detail and knowledge of property management software are essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in accounting for the company’s assets in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) rules
- Record, analyze, and monitor plant asset activity
- Perform month-end activities
- Complete account reconciliations
- Prepare journal entries
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Proficient with MS Excel
- Must have the ability to handle multiple projects and meet strict deadlines
- Must demonstrate strong communication skills and work effectively within a team environment

The base hourly range for this position is $23–$27, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
