Job Description
The Quality Control (QC) Manager is responsible for overseeing product inspections and quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with company and industry standards. This role involves developing and implementing quality control procedures, managing a team of 2-3 quality inspectors, and collaborating with production and engineering teams to drive continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have experience in metal fabrication, assembly, electronics, or aerospace manufacturing, along with a strong understanding of quality assurance methodologies.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement quality control procedures to maintain production standards
- Inspect and evaluate raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with specifications
- Identify and address quality issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions as needed
- Work with production and engineering teams to improve processes and reduce defects
- Train and supervise a team of 2-3 quality control inspectors
- Maintain and manage documentation of inspection results, deviations, and corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with ISO, industry regulations, and customer quality requirements
- Conduct audits and provide reports on quality metrics and improvement opportunities
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Previous experience in quality control management within metal fabrication, assembly, electronics, or aerospace manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of quality control processes, inspection techniques, and regulatory standards
- Leadership skills with experience managing or supervising a team
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and industry regulations
- Proficiency in quality management systems (QMS) and reporting software
- Experience with Six Sigma methodologies, CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine), or other industry certifications is a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

The base pay range for this position is $60,000-$80,000/year, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
