Job Description
As a Quality Inspector, you will ensure company products meet both internal and external specifications by performing visual and mechanical inspections of materials, components, and sub-assemblies. This role requires attention to detail, basic functional testing knowledge, and the ability to follow regulatory and quality standards. You'll contribute to ensuring compliance with FDA and medical device regulations while supporting document archival and special projects.
Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical, physical, and visual inspections of raw materials and sub-assemblies according to inspection plans.
- Follow procedural requirements to maintain compliance with Quality System Regulations (e.g., cGMP).
- Support paper document preparation and electronic scanning for archival purposes.
- Initiate Non-Conformance (NC) reports and assist in Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
- Participate in special projects as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; AA or Technical Degree preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Proficient in basic computer skills for data entry and documentation.
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions and engineering drawings.
- Experience using inspection tools such as microscopes, calipers, and micrometers preferred.
- Knowledge of FDA regulations and medical device standards preferred.
