Job Description
Our partner is seeking an experienced Saw Operator to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for reading blueprints or technical drawings, adjusting the saw machine for each job, and ensuring accurate cuts based on specifications. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and experience operating saw machines in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Set up and adjust saw machines according to job specifications
- Read blueprints and technical drawings to determine cutting requirements
- Set stops or guides to ensure precise cuts
- Operate the saw machine while monitoring for defects or inconsistencies
- Use measurement tools to confirm accuracy and quality of finished pieces
- Assist with packing and transporting finished materials
- Accurately complete job paperwork and maintain records
Qualifications and Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience operating saw machines preferred
- Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math calculations
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Forklift experience is a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift materials as needed
