Job Description
The Senior Financial Reporting & Accounting Analyst supports the quarterly financial statement close process and is responsible for preparing and reviewing both quarterly and annual statutory financial statements, including audited versions. This role also involves conducting variance analysis, completing supplemental filings, and working closely with internal and external auditors during audits. Additionally, the analyst participates in discussions with actuarial teams and other stakeholders and assists in preparing quarterly risk-based capital calculations.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares various reconciliation and reviews key financial statement analysis for quarterly close processes
- Assists with quarterly financial statement close processes
- Responsible for quarterly/annual statutory financial statement filings, auditing statements, variance analysis, supplemental filings, and RBC computations
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors on various reviews
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- Knowledge of STAT accounting
- 5+ years of experience
- Experience working with MS Excel and Access, experience with Workiva preferred
- CPA preferred

The base salary range for this position is $108,000 – $120,000, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
