Automotive Service Advisor
Pay Rate: To be determined; depends on experience
Duration: Contract to Hire but would consider Direct Hire
Location: North West Houston, TX
Hours: 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. 100% Onsite
The Service Advisor will be the primary point of contact for customers seeking automotive services. This role involves communicating effectively with clients to understand their needs, providing accurate estimates, and ensuring a seamless service experience. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, a passion for the automotive industry, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner, assessing their automotive service needs.
- Gather and document detailed information about customer vehicles, including any concerns or issues.
- Prepare and present service estimates to customers, explaining recommended services and repairs.
- Coordinate with technicians to ensure timely and accurate completion of services.
- Manage customer expectations regarding timelines and costs, providing updates as necessary.
- Process service orders and maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions.
- Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Promote additional services and products based on customer needs and shop offerings.
- Maintain a clean and organized service area, ensuring all paperwork and documentation is handled efficiently.
- Assist with scheduling appointments and managing workflow in the shop.
List Qualification or Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional automotive training or certifications are a plus.
- Previous experience as a Service Advisor role in the automotive industry preferred.
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems and repair processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in using automotive service software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and a team-oriented mindset.
