Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Staff Accountant to join our client’s team. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring accurate inventory valuations, waste analysis, and effective procurement processes for Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO). Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management – identify root causes of inventory inaccuracies and collaborate with management to develop resolutions
- Reconcile general ledger accounts related to inventory and cost of goods
- Analyze inventory losses, overages, and shortages, and suggest system improvements
- Draft and present inventory reports, including statistical data and discrepancies
- Create and process purchase orders for goods and services
- Evaluate potential vendors and identify cost-effective purchasing options
- Assist in monthly, quarterly and annual physical inventory counts
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Previous manufacturing and inventory experience
- Strong knowledge of Excel
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
