Job Description
Operate ground-penetrating radar (GPR), electromagnetic equipment, and other specialized tools, interpreting data to provide accurate utility mapping and documentation. Oversee the work of Technician I team members, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Use nondestructive methods to locate underground utilities.
- Utilize electromagnetic locating equipment to designate utilities accurately
- Maintain, clean, and operate vehicles, equipment, tools, and supplies effectively
- Drive commercial motor vehicles (CDL license not required)
- Direct safety set-up for proper maintenance of traffic signage
- Complete monthly equipment inventory for supervisor reorder
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Ability to perform physical movements and tractions consistent with operating heavy tools and equipment
- Good oral and written communication skills with attention to detail
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform physical movements necessary to operate heavy tools and equipment
- Willingness to work outdoors in all climates
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, by company vehicle or commercial airline, for up to a 2-week continuous stay
- Must have a valid and active Driver’s License
- Subject to drug screening and criminal background investigation
- High School Diploma or GED

The base salary range for this position is $25-30/hour, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
