Job Description:
Technicians will support the asset tagging transition at local Miami Hospital. The role involves replacing current tags with new vendor tags on medical assets across the facility. This process is essential for maintaining accurate asset management and minimizing disruptions to hospital operations. Technicians will work as part of a team, under the guidance of a Lead, to scan, tag, and update asset records, ensuring all procedures and protocols are followed.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and tag assets using equipment lists, scan existing tags and Asset Control Numbers to update new vendors database, and manually create records for unlisted assets.
- Scan and tag assets in hospital rooms with minimal disruption.
- Safely remove existing asset tags and hand them over for disposal after attaching new vendor tags.
- Phase 1: Focus on high-density areas for bulk tagging.
- Phase 2: Tag assets starting from the highest floors, working downwards.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Prior experience in asset management, tagging, or warehouse operations is preferred but not required.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
- Ability to operate scanning devices and other tagging tools.
- Physical ability to stand and move for an entire shift.
- TB Test: All candidates must have a current tuberculosis (TB) test before beginning work.
- FDLE Background Check: A Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) background check will be required prior to employment.
