Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced tax preparer to assist clients in preparing and filing their tax returns accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws, as well as excellent communication skills to explain complex tax issues to clients. Responsibilities include reviewing financial documents, identifying tax deductions and credits, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations
- Analyze clients' financial records, such as income statements, expense reports, and receipts, to determine tax liabilities and potential deductions
- Provide clients with advice on tax-saving strategies, deductions, credits, and potential tax liabilities to optimize their financial situation
Qualifications and Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience preparing taxes
- CCH Access experience preferred
- CPA preferred

The base salary range for this position is $80,000 – $90,000, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
