Job Description
The Temporary Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing multi-state, multi-company payroll for over 4,000 employee. Key duties include data entry for hires, terminations, and employee updates, managing garnishments, auditing payroll transactions, and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. This role requires 3-5 years of payroll experience, strong organizational skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and knowledge of payroll laws, with Workday or PeopleSoft experience being a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Perform payroll functions for multi-state employees
- Handle payroll transactions to ensure they are processed accurately and timely
- Set up garnishments and wage assignments as allowed by local and federal laws
- Assist in audit of payroll data, approvals, and accuracy of paperwork
Qualifications and Requirements:
- 3+ years’ experience in large company payroll
- Multi-state payroll experience
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Peoplesoft experience, a plus

The base salary range for this position is $47,800–$52,000, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
