Play a critical role in supporting a company that is a top leader in design, manufacturing, and distributing of high-quality steel shelving and cabinets for garage, basement, storage, and commercial storage applications when you become a tool and die technician at one of their locations in Chicago, IL.
What matters most as a tool and die technician:
- Pay starting between $27-$30 based on experience.
- 1st shift schedule 4×10 6am-430pm. Currently busy season schedule Mon-Fri 5am-3pm

Your new role as a tool and die technician:
- Routine sharpening of tool/die equipment
- Routinely take measurements and mark material for cutting and sharpening dies and other products
- Remove and install production dies as assigned and keep them in repair
- Determine and program correct size and speed of machine
- Ensure machine specifications are consistent
- Maintain production tooling by replacing and grinding worn tools
What you need as a tool and die technician:
- 1-2 years experience in a similar setting working with dies
- Experience using a lathe, surface grinder and milling machines
- 1-2 years of experience using precision tools, preferred
- Bilingual is a plus
