Job Description
Do you take pride in hands-on work that keeps things running smoothly? Our customer is hiring a Utility Operator to support the cleaning, stripping, painting, and preparation of electric motor parts for industrial equipment repairs. This essential role is key to the disassembly and reassembly process of AC/DC motors and ensures smooth workflow within the shop. Safety, teamwork, and attention to detail are top priorities in this fast-paced, rewarding environment.
Responsibilities:
- Clean internal and external motor components using various methods and equipment
- Operate machinery such as steam cleaners, sand blasters, and parts washers
- Support paint and finishing processes on repaired motor assemblies
- Move parts and motors using forklifts and overhead cranes
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment while adhering to all safety protocols
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Experience with motor part preparation and industrial cleaning preferred
- Ability to operate hand tools, forklifts, and cranes safely
- Capable of following detailed work procedures and documentation practices
- Able to stand, stoop, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs consistently
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed
